Our goal is to guarantee health care as a human right for ALL California residents, advancing the larger fight for health care justice and energizing the implementation of national Single Payer/Medicare for All.

CALCARE IS BACK! AB 2200!

On February 7, 2024, Assembly Bill (AB) 2200, the California Guaranteed Health Care for All Act was introduced. It would enact a comprehensive framework of governance, benefits, program standards, and health care cost controls for a single-payer health care coverage system in California. Also known as CalCare, passing this policy framework will allow California to begin consolidating existing health care programs, obtaining necessary federal waivers, and determining public financing.
