Commercial insurance companies have proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted to administer public health benefits. These companies have restricted patients’ choice of doctors; demanded high out-of-pocket payments; and outright denied medically necessary care to seniors enrolled in Medicare Advantage. All for the benefit of Wall Street investors.

On January 1, many of these same companies began “managing” Traditional Medicare benefits through the newly launched REACH program. If allowed to continue, REACH could mean the end of Traditional Medicare as we know it.
