Alex Hornor is a business owner and fractional CFO for small businesses based in California. She is a member of White People 4 Black Lives (WP4BL) and an original Board member of AWARE LA / WP4BL. Alex has served on the Board of the PTO for her children’s LAUSD elementary school since 2021 and has been an active member in community organizing since joining WP4BL in 2017. 

Alex was part of WP4BL’s core organizing team for ballot Measure R in 2019-2020. The organization’s contribution to the coalition work led by Black Lives Matter was to create a conversation model around mass incarceration, and deep canvass voters in predominantly white, affluent communities. That same year, she formed and co-led Team2020, a group of 12 women in Los Angeles who mobilized 100 people locally to work in service of the November 2020 elections.

In addition to her work with WP4BL, Alex has created 2 educational series for friends looking to understand the systems & policies that undergird racism, gender oppression, and militarism in our country. Alex earned her B.F.A. from Rutgers University and is the proud mother of 2 little Jedi.
